If you want to model that aeroplane on that day, to be accurate you would have to reproduce every paint chip, streak etc exactly. I'd rather do another aircraft from the same unit in the same style or a particular aircraft as an almost "what if it looked like this 2 months later" for example. However, I always keep referring to photos to get a feel for how that particular aircraft type weathered in that specific environment.Jamie Haggohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03547861655674681033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2427863648315222104.post-67555365824404623742013-08-24T04:08:08.442-07:002013-08-24T04:08:08.442-07:00very nicely done model..weathering a bit too '... very nicely done model..weathering a bit too 'arty' for my tastes though. Looking forward to that.

Don't be put off by people on the forums, it's an occupational hazard if you frequent those places. We've all done it and experienced what you did at some time. Wales was always a great place to go and watch the RAF flying through the valleys. We use to go caravanning near Beddegelert and sit up on the hills and mountains looking down on Phantoms, Harriers and Jaguars as they passed. I will have to take my grandson there one day to experience it.

As to some of these Muppets who like to get off their high-horse when someone says something they don't like, they need to get a life. My own opinion is this, "It's my model and I'll build it how I want!".

The Tamiya Corsair you're starting, is it the new 1/32nd kit? If it is, then you'll enjoy it. My mates just done one and it looks great.

MickThe Mechanic AKA.
